Funny, philosophy tends to occupy my mind when I am sitting on the toilet. That's not the only time I think about philosophical pursuits, but it is a setting that beckons my Socratic self.

And on my last trip, I was thinking about monetary systems. That solicits the question, why should currency be limited? We have a free-floating monetary system. But suppose we pegged the dollar to some very desirable commodity, but one that had a limit that could never change. What would be true unobtanium? And I could not come up with anything so rare that we could not flood the Earth with it.
